Palnati Surya Pratap's 2022 Telugu film follows Siddhu, who finds a diary in the street after a break-up. It is two years old and holds the writing of a woman named Nandini. The more he reads the more Siddhu believes he knows her, and he decides to find her. The narrative builds that search as a mystery; what happened in the woman's life and why she stopped writing is revealed late. Nikhil Siddhartha and Anupama Parameswaran lead. The tone is light and the music foregrounded; the narrative turns serious in its second half and leaves room for the woman's own decision. Who it's for: those who like Telugu romantic drama. Who it's not for: viewers uncomfortable with the premise of reading someone's diary and pursuing them; the film presents it within a romantic frame.
