2 Autumns 3 Winters

Arman is thirty-three and has decided to change his life. He starts by running. Running in the park, he collides with Amélie; that is the first meeting. The second happens at night, during a knife attack. What starts between them lasts two autumns and three winters. In among it, Arman's closest friend Benjamin has a stroke, far too young. The film does not tell any of this straight; the characters keep turning to the camera and narrating their own stories. Sébastien Betbeder directs, with Vincent Macaigne as Arman and Maud Wyler as Amélie. Ninety minutes. A portrait of a generation in its thirties, not quite settled into work, and fond of explaining itself.
