What 404: Error Not Found Is About
A bright student moves into a room previously occupied by another student who killed himself. Before long he starts seeing things he should not be seeing. The film leaves it open for a long time whether this is a matter of a ghost or something happening inside the boy's head, and it builds its tension exactly there. Directed by Prawaal Raman, it is one of the few Indian films that tries to stand between horror and psychological thriller. Rather than reaching for cheap shocks it leans on the atmosphere of the hostel itself, the corridors and the quiet at night.
