A Christmas Carol

The film brings a one man play to the screen. The actor is alone. He takes every part himself. The text comes from Charles Dickens’ own reading adaptation. Dickens read it at his public performances. The story takes place on Christmas Eve. Scrooge values nothing but money. He is hard on the people around him. That night ghosts come to him. He sees his past again. He looks at what is happening now. He sees the end waiting for him. What he sees changes him. The filming was done in an empty warehouse rather than on a stage. Light and sound carry the story. Simon Callow appears in the seventy two minute film, a British production Tom Cairns finished in 2018.
