Joanna, an architect, is waiting for a call from the man she loves, but every time the phone rings it is a wrong number. It turns out that her number is very close to the contact number of a gang of counterfeiters the police have been after for a long time. Without meaning to, Joanna finds herself in the middle of the gang’s communications and decides not to let the matter go. The same confusion brings Andrzej, the officer investigating the counterfeiters, into her life, and he becomes the cure of the title. Adapted from a novel by Joanna Chmielewska, the production runs a crime plot and a comedy together. Kalina Jedrusik appears in Jan Batory’s ninety five minute Polish film, completed in 1966.
