What A Dog's Breakfast Is About
Patrick has never been good at anything in his life, so there is no obvious reason murder would go differently. His relationship with his younger sister Marilyn has always been combative, and when she brings home her fiancé Ryan, the star of a science fiction soap, it becomes open war. Failing to drive them apart, Patrick reaches for sharper instruments, and every attempt goes worse than the last. David Hewlett, familiar from the Stargate series, wrote, directed and stars in this independent black comedy. His actual sister Kate Hewlett plays the sister, and several other faces from the show turn up. It is small, cheap and entirely unwilling to take itself seriously.
