What A Flash of Green Is About

A reporter at a local Florida newspaper is caught between two loyalties. On one side is a property developer he has known for years whose dealings are not clean; on the other he feels drawn to the campaigners opposing the man’s latest project, and he is in love with one of them. What he knows is enough to affect both sides. The film is about the relationship between profit, friendship and journalism in a small town, and it leaves nobody an easy place to stand. The account does not make a single block of the campaigners either; how much risk each of them can take differs from person to person. Ed Harris plays the lead in Victor Nunez’s hundred and twenty one minute American film, completed in 1984.
