What A Patch of Fog Is About
Sandy Duffy is a known name in Belfast: he wrote one novel twenty-five years ago and now lectures at the university and appears on television. He also has a habit nobody knows about, lifting small things from shops. One night a security guard named Robert catches him. But he does not call the police. What he wants is not money either: he wants the two of them to go for a pint. One pint becomes a second, and the second becomes an arrangement. Michael Lennox's first feature has Stephen Graham as Robert and Conleth Hill as Sandy. It begins like a blackmail story, except that what the blackmailer wants is not to be alone. That is where the tension comes from.
