A Proletarian Winter's Tale

Three young Georgians are working in Berlin. Their job is to clean a castle. An exhibition is being set up in it. The collection on show belongs to a German arms manufacturer. A party is given for the opening. But the cleaners are not invited. A servants’ room in the attic has been set aside for them. Downstairs a lavish buffet has been laid out. The buffet is visible from above and it draws the three of them. Then they ask a question. Does this ban have to be obeyed? In the end they decide to cross the line of class. The film tells that step in the register of comedy. Natia Bakhtadze and Ilia Korkashvili take the leads, with Lars Rudolph also in the cast, in Julian Radlmaier’s German film of 2014.
