What A Is About
A short film of twenty-four minutes, not a feature. Its title is a single letter, A in the Cyrillic alphabet, which makes it nearly impossible to search for. Lena comes to the countryside to clear out a house she has sold. The plan is simple: gather the things and leave. But her neighbour Igor will not allow it; he sits up a tree day and night shouting, and drives Lena out of her mind. A Russian production, directed by Tatyana Zhukova. Little more than this is on record. Short, strange, and it builds its tension on a single sound.
