Abdulladzhan, or Dedicated to Steven Spielberg

A spaceship comes down on an Uzbek collective farm. A villager named Bozorboy is the one who finds it. He was out looking for his lost cow. A boy climbs out of the ship. Bozorboy takes him home. He names him after his grandfather and calls him Abdullajon. The boy is counted as his seventh child. Abdullajon speaks many languages. What he can do is not ordinary either. He moves people and objects from one place to another. He makes it rain when he wants to. The villagers settle on a different explanation. To them the boy must be Bozorboy’s secret son. Sotiboldi, a watchman in the village, narrates. The film is built as a letter. The letter is addressed to Steven Spielberg. Shukhrat Kayumov and Tuti Yusupova appear in the eighty nine minute film, a production Zulfikar Musakov shot in Uzbekistan.
