About Family

Mu-ok owns a long established restaurant. It is called Pyongmanok. People queued outside it long before social media existed. He built the place himself. He hoped his only son Moon-seok would take it on. Moon-seok became a monk instead. That left nobody to carry the family name. The thought of it undoes Mu-ok. Then young children turn up at the restaurant. They say Moon-seok is their father. An unexpected door opens for Mu-ok and he is happier than he has been in a long time. Moon-seok, meanwhile, looks back at the life he had before the monastery and finds something he did not expect. Kim Yun-seok and Lee Seung-gi take the leads in the hundred and seven minute film, a South Korean production Yang Woo-seok finished in 2024.
