A French action film. Adam Franco is from special forces. Quiet, spare with words, a man who takes orders. His new assignment is to get inside a criminal organisation. The target is a man named Victor Pastore; the state believes he is connected to an attack. Adam infiltrates and moves into the man's house. What is not expected happens there. There is a child in the house and a bond forms between them. Adam behaves like someone else around the boy, and the behaviour stops being a tactic. The second matter is information. As he goes deeper he sees that the target is not what he was told and that people on his own side are keeping things from him. The action is built on close combat. The scenes are shot in long takes with few cuts, and the fights work as heavy, tiring, and open to clumsiness. Alban Lenoir plays Adam; he came from stunt work and is one of the writers. Éric Cantona and Thibault de Montalembert are in the cast. Morgan S. Dalibert directed; he worked previously as a cinematographer. The project was an idea the two of them had discussed for many years. Who it is for: anyone who likes hard French action and realistic fight choreography. Who it is not for: anyone looking for depth of character; the narrative runs in a familiar mould and its emotional line stays weak.
