What Ali, the Goat and Ibrahim Is About
After his girlfriend dies, Ali believes that her soul has passed into a goat. When his mother takes him to a healer he meets Ibrahim there, a man in a deep depression who hears sounds nobody else can hear. The two men and the goat set out on a journey that will take them the length of Egypt. Neither of them sets about curing the other; all they do along the way is put up with each other and stay near. The film makes fun of neither the belief nor the illness, and puts the two of them on the same road. Aly Sobhy and Ahmad Magdy appear in Sherif El Bendary’s ninety seven minute Egyptian film, completed in 2017.
