Ammu

Ammu is a newly married woman. Her husband is called Ravi and he is a police officer. At first the marriage looks fine. But one day Ravi is violent towards her. Ammu takes it for something that happened once. It is not, and it happens again. In time it settles into a pattern. The woman is trapped inside the house. Telling anyone is not easy either. Her husband’s work makes it harder still. In the end Ammu starts looking for a way out. She works together with someone she never expected help from. Aishwarya Lekshmi and Naveen Chandra take the leads, with Bobby Simha also in the cast, in Charukesh Sekar’s Indian film of 2022.
