Andhaghaaram

V. Vignarajan's 2020 Tamil film draws three men who know nothing of each other into the same chain of events: a blind librarian, a cricketer whose career has ended and an exhausted psychiatrist. Their lives intersect through connections carrying supernatural implication. The film moves slowly and does so deliberately. The first section builds the three stories separately and the link opens only in the second half. That structure loses some viewers, but the film sustains tension through sound and darkness. The cinematography and sound design are its strongest elements. The supernatural is never shown outright; it is implied and the audience is expected to complete it. The narrative leaves some gaps at the end, which is a contested choice. Who it's for: those who like slow, atmospheric thrillers. Who it's not for: viewers wanting clear explanation and tight construction; the film approaches three hours and does not tie off every clue.
