Apothecary

Vijay Nambiar is a well known neurosurgeon. His wife Nalini is a gynaecologist at the same hospital. With their children they have a settled life. The film opens with Nambiar being brought into that same hospital after a road accident, with a serious brain injury. As the story goes back, how the hospital works comes out. Patients are put through unnecessary and expensive tests. Nambiar himself is pushed by the management into running trials of new drugs. So the film is a story of conscience as much as a story of a hospital. Suresh Gopi, Jayasurya and Asif Ali appear in Madhav Ramadasan’s Malayalam language Indian film of 2014.
