What As Needed Is About
Arturo is forty, a chef with an international name, and in trouble because he cannot hold his temper. As a penalty he is sent to teach a cooking class at a centre for young people with autism. There he meets Guido, whose palate is better than his own. An Italian comedy of ninety-two minutes. It follows the familiar shape of the genre: a disabled character who exists so the non-disabled lead can improve. How far it falls into that is arguable; it is soft and well meaning, but there are places where autism is used as a character trait.
