What Banana Is About
Giovanni is fourteen and everyone calls him Banana, because he never takes off a Brazil shirt. He loves football and is trying to talk to one of his classmates. Every adult around him has given something up. Giovanni is trying not to, and he is fairly stubborn about it. Andrea Jublin's Italian film is his first feature; Jublin also acts in it. The telling does not ask you to pity the boy, it stands on his side. Known names such as Anna Bonaiuto and Giorgio Colangeli are in the cast. The tone is light, it runs eighty-one minutes, and the film is suitable for a young audience too.
