What Before I Disappear Is About

At the lowest point of his life, Richie takes a call from the sister he has not spoken to in a long time: she needs him to collect his eleven year old niece Sophia from school. What looks like a simple favour turns into an all night journey across New York. The girl is considerably more organised than her uncle, and as the night goes on it becomes unclear who is looking after whom. Shawn Christensen wrote it, directed it and plays Richie, expanding the story from his own short film. Fatima Ptacek plays Sophia, with Emmy Rossum in the cast.
