Bell Bottom

Set in the Karnataka of the eighties, the film follows Divakara, who grew up on detective novels and spy films and calls himself a detective. His father, a policeman, pushed him into the station not as a detective but as an ordinary constable. When their own station is robbed the chance he has been waiting for arrives, and he starts running the investigation his own way; as the robberies keep coming the whole town gets pulled in. The account runs its detective story and its comedy together, and puts the period forward in every detail, from the clothes to the music. Rishab Shetty and Hariprriya appear in Jayathirtha’s hundred and forty minute Kannada film, completed in 2019.
