What Blondes at Work Is About
Torchy Blane is a reporter. She covers the police beat. She gets her stories out ahead of everyone. The reason is Steve McBride. McBride is a lieutenant on the homicide squad. The two of them are also together. A rival newspaper owner complains about that. The complaint reaches McBride’s superior, Captain McTavish. McBride finds himself under pressure and decides to stop letting anything out. Torchy has no intention of giving up her stories, and sets about finding her own way in. This is the fourth film in the Torchy Blane series. Albert DeMond wrote the screenplay. Glenda Farrell, Barton MacLane and Tom Kennedy appear in the sixty three minute film, an American production Frank McDonald finished in 1938.
