A Mexican teenager crosses illegally into the United States to find the father who left seventeen years earlier, and on the truck taking him north he tells his whole story to another young man. By the time they reach Brooklyn both his bag and his travelling companion are gone, and the bag held his father’s address. The other young man turns up at the door of the wealthy restaurant owner with that same letter and presents himself as the son. The boy, who speaks no English and has no money, is left in the middle of the city. Christopher Zalla wrote and directed the hundred and ten minute Argentine American co-production, which won the grand jury prize at the Sundance Film Festival in 2007.
