Brothers and Sisters

Three siblings live in Berlin. The district they live in is Kreuzberg. The family comes from Turkey. All three siblings are in their youth. Their days pass between school, work and the street. Arguments at home are never far away. There is tension between the father and the sons. The sister has plans of her own. One of them is dealing with the question of military service. Aimless walks through the district make up much of the story. The film does not build a fast plot. It watches everyday life instead. The film is part of the director’s Berlin trilogy. Tamer Yiğit and Serpil Turhan appear in the eighty two minute film, a German production Thomas Arslan finished in 1997.
