Cadaver

Anoop S Panicker's 2022 Tamil film follows Bhadra, a forensic doctor. She works with the police on a series of killings, and the trail leads to a prisoner. The film shows the autopsy table directly. The narrative advances by withholding and keeps its connections for the end; the reason behind the killings is revealed late. Amala Paul leads and also produced. The violence is detailed and the tone dark. Who it's for: those who like forensic thrillers and Tamil crime films. Who it's not for: viewers who would be disturbed by bodies and autopsy footage.
