What Call Girl Is About
Late 1970s Stockholm. A few streets from the government buildings are the sex clubs, discotheques and private flats, and young Iris is taken from the bottom of society and put into that world, falling into an arrangement where power buys anything. The film draws on a real affair: the Swedish prostitution scandal of the 1970s in which senior names were mentioned, argued over in the country for a long time. It caused argument again when it came out. The abuse of underage girls is shown directly. A hard film.
