Billu opens a paan shop in a small town in central India. The business does not take; no customers come. Then a family moves into the house opposite, and because of the family's young daughter every young man in the town starts gathering in front of Billu's shop. The shop fills up and the money comes in. But Billu has fallen for her too. Apurva Dhar Badgaiyann's Indian film puts the male attention gathering around a girl in a small town into the shape of a comedy. The telling stands entirely on the men's side: she is talked about constantly and hardly speaks herself. Jitendra Kumar takes the lead. The ending disappoints Billu's expectation and the town's alike.
