What Chorus Is About

A separated couple meets again after ten years. The reason is that the body of their missing son has been found. Both of them have spent those years in guilt. The meeting brings them back to the past and back to each other. The film tells grief not as a story of resolution but as a very slow acceptance. Hesitantly the two move towards life, towards accepting the death, and perhaps towards reconciliation. That a loss both joins and separates two people at once is the real subject. The ninety seven minutes are given to that meeting. Sébastien Ricard and Fanny Mallette appear in François Delisle’s Canadian film, completed in 2015.
