Brendan Canty's 2025 Irish film follows two brothers raised in the care system. They have not seen each other for years; with nowhere else to go, the younger arrives at his brother's house and the two have to live under the same roof. The subject is that brotherhood is not a given. Both come from the same past but do not remember the same things; the elder has built an order and wants to protect it, while the younger never learned to belong anywhere. Canty shot in Cork with a largely local cast and the speech keeps the regional idiom. The narrative does not reach for large events and looks for its resolution in small gestures. Danny Power leads. Who it's for: those who like Irish independent cinema and quiet family drama. Who it's not for: viewers expecting a defined plot; the film proceeds through everyday detail.
