What Cop on a Mission Is About
Mike, a young policeman in Hong Kong, is tired of not being paid what his hours are worth and of watching the easy life of criminals. When he is given the job of getting inside the gang of the boss Tin, he takes it; but the further in he goes, the more he gets used to the money, the power and the respect there. Before long it is unclear which side he is working for, and an affair with the boss’s wife tangles things further. The film shows the line between policeman and criminal not as a choice but as a slide. Daniel Wu and Eric Tsang appear in Marco Mak’s eighty nine minute Hong Kong film; it was completed in 2001.
