The film takes place on an office floor and in a living room. The workers go about their daily business while their surroundings keep changing. Clothing alters on them without their noticing, the person they are speaking to disappears, the room itself stretches and shrinks. None of them is troubled by any of it and the work goes on at the same rhythm. Michael Snow builds this out of digital intervention, and now and then his own voice gets into the recording. The title comes from the structure that carries information between the two halves of the brain. This is a work built on form rather than on story, and it sits somewhere between the comic and the uncanny. Michael Snow’s ninety three minute Canadian film was completed in 2002.
