Crossing Lines

Cairo is a man who has come out of the criminal world. He now counsels people who want to leave gangs, and the work suits him. His life is knocked out of order when his nephew Hamza disappears. Looking into it, he learns the boy had quietly joined his own former gang. The police doing nothing pushes Cairo back towards his old connections. Although he has pledged to keep clear of violence, the search takes him back into the criminal scene of Copenhagen. The old instincts return by degrees. The film asks whether leaving is ever permanent. Afshin Firouzi and Albert Arthur Amiryan appear in Jahfar Muataz’s hundred and three minute Danish film, completed in 2025.
