Dog Eat Dog

The underworld in Cali runs on an unwritten code. When Víctor and Eusebio botch a shakedown they break it, and without realising it they have signed their own death warrants. Their boss starts collecting, black magic enters the arrangement, and the two of them find they cannot get out of the city. Who is going to kill whom stays open until the last moment. Carlos Moreno's first feature became the first Colombian film invited to Sundance and was sent as the country's Oscar submission. Moreno came from music videos and delivers the violence in fast, cold cutting. Cali here is not a backdrop but a system with rules.
