Dreamland

A wealthy city is covered in snow and everything looks perfect on the surface. Rolf, divorced, is trying to mend things with his daughter. Lena, pregnant, appears to be living a flawless family life with her husband and son. Judith, a social worker, escapes a hard job into her fantasies, while Maria, a widow, has finally found the courage to invite a man she knows to dinner. Within a single day all of them cross paths with Mia, who is Bulgarian and works in the sex trade. The film makes Mia not a subject for a lesson but a measure that shows the lives of the others. Luna Mijovic plays the lead in Petra Biondina Volpe’s ninety eight minute Swiss film, completed in 2013.
