The story is set in a small town. What we watch is a family slowly coming apart. Everyone in the house is after something different. Jarda is addicted to slot machines. He knows he will not change himself and does not even try. All the same he believes each time that he will win. That belief brings the household to an impossible point. Kamila will not accept the poverty of the present. She goes on looking at the future with confidence. Agata wants a life far from home. She knows that means leaving the people close to her behind. Honza believes in the power of love. Whatever the circumstances he does not give it up. In the end Jarda makes a move to save the family. By then it is far too late.
