Forest

The film is made of short scenes set in Budapest. Different people appear in each of them, and most are young. What they share is a tension that comes out of ordinary life. A woman gets angry at a man who has abandoned his dog. In another scene two men talk about an old car and the conversation goes somewhere unexpected. A young woman notices she is coming to resemble her grandmother, and it unsettles her; the grandmother was a hard woman. The account does not tie the pieces into a single plot. The generation it speaks to were young when the system changed in Eastern Europe. Benedek Fliegauf directed the ninety minute Hungarian film of 2003.
