Happiness

Desirè grew up inside a family run by two parents who shout constantly, cling to each other and to their children, and let nobody go. The house is always loud, always mid-argument, and nobody manages to get out of it. Desirè works on film sets and has more or less built a life. But her brother Claudio is still there and in a bad way. The whole film is her attempt to get him out of that house, and every attempt is met by the family pulling him back. This is Micaela Ramazzotti's first film as director, and she plays Desirè herself. Max Tortora, Anna Galiena and Sergio Rubini are in the cast. A hundred and four minutes. It moves through comic scenes while what it describes is not funny at all.
