What Heart Blackened Is About
Tae-san owns a large conglomerate. When the singer he is engaged to is murdered, his life comes down around him. The real blow comes after that: every piece of evidence points at his own daughter, who becomes the chief suspect. Tae-san puts his money, his power and everyone he knows into saving her. The young lawyer who takes the defence, Choi Hee-jung, sets about opening the file her own way. Jung Ji-woo directs, with Choi Min-sik as Tae-san and Park Shin-hye as the lawyer. It is a remake of Fei Xing's 2013 Chinese film Silent Witness, with the weight shifted this time from the prosecutor to the defence.
