For Thór and Kristján, in a remote fishing village in Iceland, the summer is long and confused. Thór is trying to get close to a girl while Kristján realises he has feelings for his best friend that he cannot name. The village is small, everyone knows everyone, and even what goes unsaid gets heard. When the summer ends and the hard Icelandic winter takes back its ground, both of them have to leave the playground behind. Guðmundur Arnar Guðmundsson films the landscape and adolescence with the same severity, across more than two patient and painful hours.
