What I viaggiatori della sera Is About
In a near future, new laws force everyone to retire at fifty and move into holiday villages run by the state. Food, drink and entertainment there are free, but the people are in fact prisoners: their numbers fall steadily, because now and then one of them wins a trip from which there is no return. The film follows a husband and wife who enter this arrangement; both resist at first and then get used to it. That their own children are on the side of the arrangement is the hardest part of the account. Ugo Tognazzi both directed and acted in it; Ornella Vanoni also appears in the hundred and eight minute Italian film, completed in 1979.
