If Nothing Else Works Out

Léo is a freelance journalist. He covers events outside the city where he lives. He has no money, and his payments keep arriving late. Angela, who shares the flat with him, has a small son. She spends her days in bed and goes out at night. One night Léo decides to spend the last of what they have. He runs into Angela that night. In the same place he meets Marcin. Marcin goes about in men’s clothes. Wilson, a taxi driver, joins them. Wilson has been shaken by the death of his father. The three of them attach to each other quickly. What they share is a lack of money and a need for somewhere to hold on. They decide to set up a confidence scheme. The work pays, but the danger grows with it. Cauã Reymond and João Miguel appear in the hundred and twenty minute film, a Brazilian production José Eduardo Belmonte finished in 2008.
