Nik Amir Mustapha's 2023 Malaysian film follows a young man whose life is coming apart. To pull himself together he tries an unusual hypnosis treatment. The woman from his dreams begins appearing in waking life. The film holds this between science fiction and psychological drama; the narrative deliberately misleads the viewer about which layer is real and keeps its explanation for the end. Beto Kusyairy leads. The images were built on a limited budget through changes of location. The close was argued over. Who it's for: those who like Malaysian cinema and puzzle narratives. Who it's not for: viewers expecting a clear explanation; the film stays uncertain to the end.
