Intruders

In the dead of winter a screenwriter goes to a friend’s closed mountain lodge to finish his script. Hoping to be alone, he finds himself among irritating strangers: townspeople who let themselves in and holidaying skiers who will not take no for an answer. On top of that come sounds from the woods at night, and once bodies start appearing he realises he may have opened the door to a killer. Noh Young-seok’s ninety nine minute Korean film mixes its suspense with black comedy and satire, breaking the shape of the cabin in the woods story as it goes. Jun Seok-ho, Oh Tae-kyung and Choi Mu-sung appear. It was completed in 2013, five years after the director’s much admired first film Daytime Drinking.
