Islander

Eben Cole lives on an island off the coast of Maine. The island lives by fishing. Eben is a fisherman too. One day there is an accident at sea. It leaves heavy consequences. Eben loses his family. He loses his standing on the island as well. His friends move away from him. After a time he comes back. He returns as an outcast. He wants to be accepted again. He sets about working for it. The island community does not forgive easily. The film is about that return. Amy Jo Johnson, Thomas Hildreth and Philip Baker Hall appear in the hundred minute film, an American production Ian McCrudden finished in 2006.
