Jenny and the Soldier

There is a good natured soldier. His right hand carries a heavy punch. One day he falls in love with a young woman. There is a hard passage in her past. The account is built on the meeting of these two. The soldier is the one it follows. It runs drama and romance together. The film was made in Denmark just after the war. Her past and his present stand side by side. Poul Reichhardt and Bodil Kjer take the leads. The account keeps to the two of them throughout. Elith Pio, Karin Nellemose, Johannes Meyer and Maria Garland are also in the cast of Johan Jacobsen’s Danish film of 1947.
