Johnny Flash

Jürgen works as an electrician. He has an ordinary life in the Ruhr. But something else is going round in his head. He wants to be a pop star. He has even found the stage name, Johnny Flash. His mother believes in the dream more than he does. She keeps pushing her son forward. She arranges interviews and knocks on doors. Then two managers turn up. Both of them want the contract. As the fuss around him grows Jürgen gets tired. What he really wants is some sleep. The film tells this with an odd humour. The man in the lead sings the songs himself. Helge Schneider and Andreas Kunze appear in the seventy seven minute film, a German production Werner Nekes finished in 1986.
