Dylan and Kylie live in two adjoining houses on the edge of Dublin. There is shouting in both. On Christmas Day Dylan runs from his father and Kylie goes after him. They get onto a barge and then into the city. The plan is to find Dylan's older brother, who ran away years ago. At first the city is magic: the lights, the skaters, the buskers, money. Then night comes down and it turns into something else. Until morning they have nobody but each other. Lance Daly directs the Irish film; seventy-two minutes, with Shane Curry as Dylan and Kelly O'Neill as Kylie. It starts in black and white; colour comes up as the children reach the city and drains away again on the way back. Bob Dylan is in the film both in the songs and as a subject.
