Kolya - Rolling Stone

Kolya left his home town years ago. He comes back after something like ten years away. His old friends and acquaintances meet him in the town. Everyone asks him what he has been doing and where he has been. All of it fits inside a single day. The settled order of the town is shaken by his arrival. Old accounts and old gossip are stirred up again. Meanwhile a truth comes out. The elder son of Natalya, who is just past ten, is in fact Kolya’s son. Kolya did not know this. The boy has been raised by another man, and that man loves him. Kolya sees that the situation has no good resolution. He tells the gathering that he only came by to say goodbye. He says he has a grave illness and less than a month to live. The film was made as a continuation of an earlier one. Andrey Zhigalov and Sergey Batalov appear in the ninety three minute film, a Russian production Nikolay Dostal finished in 2005.
