What Last Present Is About
Five years have passed since Yong-ki first went on stage as a comedian, and still nobody knows who he is. His wife Jung-yeon has grown tired of the waiting and begins to keep her distance. He takes this for indifference and buries himself further in his work; but there is another reason for her drawing away, and she is keeping it from him. Each of them does what they think is right for the other, and it is exactly for that reason that they miss each other. The film holds laughter and sorrow in the same scene and gives the viewer what it knows before the characters have it. Lee Jung-jae and Lee Young-ae appear in Oh Ki-hwan’s hundred and thirteen minute Korean film, completed in 2001.
