Le Voyageur de la Toussaint

A young man returns to the city where he was born. There is a well off family in that city. They are his relatives. But for years they looked past him. The reason was what his mother and father did. Both had been performers on the stage. The family counted that as something to be ashamed of. After his parents die the position changes. An inheritance from an uncle comes to the young man. He is the only heir. Hearing this, the relatives turn warm all at once. Dinners, invitations and kind words begin. But the warmth does not last long. The film was adapted from a novel. Assia Noris and Jules Berry appear in the hundred and two minute film, an Italian and French production Louis Daquin finished in 1943.
